It's true that life-saving moments seem commonplace in many novels today. I already have Harry Potter on the mind, but Rowling acknowledges the import of life-saving with the magical life debt. That still sort of falls short of the situation in reality but at least gives the act of saving a serious weight in her world.Callie Leuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09535505792102190920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-80248723072912781.post-80773334324949639242012-07-26T11:14:48.488-07:002012-07-26T11:14:48.488-07:00LOL! Phew.

Also it's very true that saving moments should be written with due respect; you can't have a character save another and then have both go on with their lives as if nothing happened. If not much more, at least their relationship or their awareness of their luck should change, right? Sound advice. Thanks! :)

OMG I love the Deadliest Catch!! Been watching it for two years! Those guys are so awesome. I love watching them play pranks with each other's cages, working nights in furious storms that blow up 30 foot waves, flinging cages in the cold with ice growing on deck a foot thick! And the crabs... the glorious moments when they pull up three digits per cage in the last week of the season... pure awesomeness! Not to mention their camaraderie and unbelievably hard work. Big fan! :)Veronica Sicoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03741318844378921184noreply@blogger.com
